Strings?

Hi I am a beggining guitar player and I am so confused as to which strings I need to get. I am in the middle of relearning everything and it has been years since the last time I changed them..(thank goodness I still remember HOW to change them) Whenever my strings broke before, I was little and had an in person guitar teacher who would just change them for me. Could any one suggest the type of strings they would get if they have/ had a guitar like mine? I have a Fender squier strat. I probably sound very off base to the guitar world. . lol Thanks

Does size matter..

My first suggestion would be a medium guage.. Medium price.. About $5 to $6 a set.. for electric..
Maybe pick up a extra high e and b string while your there.
If the Squier is the same guitar you had years ago, you might want to have it checked out first.
I just put on a set of D'Addario on my electric/acoustic and I am happy with them so far..
I also put a string on my Fender no knowing the guage or manufacture... I used D'Addario now and I've noticed no difference in the feel or sound.

Strings!

Squiers are pretty good for the money man. I too like D'Addario strings, they rarely break and the colored ball ends help when changing strings. Strat type guitars usually come with 9 gauge strings. If you want to bump it up to 10 gauge strings you will probably have to adjust a few things on your guitar

Cheers,
Nate
